Alberta Orienteering Championships

This year the Alberta Championships will be run in the beautiful Elbow valley west of Calgary.The Championships headquarters will be at Camp Horizon in Kananaskis Country.  Organizers have arranged  2 lodging options for event participants and volunteers: one large lodge has been booked at Camp Horizon and camping at the Paddy's Flats group site.  

Tentative program:

1. Saturday morning: Sprint on the University of Calgary map
2. Saturday afternoon: Middle on the brand new Connop Creek map which is right at Camp Horizon
3. Saturday evening: Banquet at Redwood Meadows house in Redwood Meadows
4. Sunday morning and early afternoon: Long on the Sulphur Mountain map: those familiar with the map will know that this is going to be real punisher with tons of elevation gain and loss
